LMM: cts

I bought a used cts and updated it. and Iam trying to hook it up on my work truck and it will not hook. it keeps asking for me to turn the key on what am I not doing right I know edge is closed today so I cant call them. so can anyone help me out

You hook it up into the truck and then turn your key in your ignition to the run position but dont start the truck, then let it sit there and the CTS will evaluate your truck and set its self up for your vehicle and after a few mins it will load gauges and then you can customize it to your preferences from there!

that's what iam doing. but it keeps askin to turn the key on. the key is on and it keeps cycling and ask what truck it is. I choose chevy/ gmc and it says to turn the key on and I do and it will do its thing. then it says it cant tell if the key is on and goes back to the chevy/gmc dodge for and other screen. it acts like the key is not on

and your sure the key is turned as far as you can without starting it?

^x2, also maybe try having the key completly out and then hook up the edge selecting the Chevy/GMC and when it says to turn your key to run then put it in and turn it to the run position!

ive tried both thing and yes the key is on. not sure what to do

Hmmm... I am not sure man, I just bought mine from another guy used as well, updated and installed it in my truck no problem. I would say try re hooking it up to your computer and updating it again and making sure that all goes thru correctly

I got it the cable is messed up you can move the plug on the back of the programmer and hold it a certain way and it will work thanks for the help
