Do you think modifying the stock crank could help resolve the crank issues. They appear to be getting bent somehow and snapping in half due to being out of balance. What if we modified the counter weight to make it smaller, welded the hole shut on the same end, then have it turned, re-treated and re-balanced?

Has anyone tried this? Good idea or bad?

I talked ot 8 million people today and it definitely points to a harmonic issue. I'm thinking a good balancing and new Harmonic balancer are in order. Maybe even a new balancer every 50,000k would be cheap ins
