I was wondering if there was anyway of telling if a crankshaft had A or B rods by just using the casting number ( I may not even matter it my only depend on the rod that u are going back with I don't know ), If so the number in guestion is 11212, I know how to determine the main bearings just wondering about the rod.. I may have answered my own ????? :)

You need to measure your journal size with a micrometer.

Rod bearing selection is not determined by the crankshaft. Its determined by the diameter of the of the rod bore itself. So to answer your question no. The crankshaft doesnt care what rods are on it.
