Hey I recently bought a 2008 Chevy 2500hd it started throwing a mass airflow sensor code and a engine getting up to temp and then dropping code I continued driving it for a couple weeks and then was out of town when I went to start it it took a few more cranks than normal then a couple miles later I got a change fuel filter message ( I was on the throttle and lost almost all of the trucks power for a few seconds the fuel filter is at 90%) it then said clean exhaust filter see owners manual now it started driving normal after that so I drove about 100 miles to get it home now when I try to start it it just cranks and won’t start I scanned it and now it’s also saying exhaust temp to low for particulate regen. I’m assuming that my thermostat has been stuck open causing the truck to not regen so now I have a clogged dpf that’s preventing it from starting. What do you guys think? Also the truck is completely stock except for a lift and tires Thanks!

If the DPF was so clogged it wouldn't start, I would think it would crank fast then start slowing down almost immediately. The "change fuel filter" message can be triggered by low rail pressure. That is usually caused by a dirty fuel filter, but it can be a failing CP3 or injectors, or a high-pressure fuel leak.

You'll need to get a good scan tool and watch actual rail pressure while cranking, see if it ever builds rail pressure. If not, then you need to find why. Might be as simple as a dirty fuel filter, if you're lucky.

Ok I will look into getting a good scan tool I also forgot to mention that I have used 50 % of my oil life over the last 300 miles
