EFILive Crank Angle Mapping

I just created a Crank Angle Map. My question is how many people have noticed the actual timing from the tune is not what was actual read by the scan tool map was. The average is actually 1 to 1.5* higher than the tune if not more. Is this correct?

i would guess its from the multiplier tables , your main injection timing tables are the base and multipliers are added on top of your base .

Yup, there are tables that add or subtract timing based on ECT, IAT, Baro, Etc.

That makes sense. Then it’s probably not a good ideal to place this map into the timing table.

I am just playing with creating maps in the scan tool. My understanding is that the mapping tool should be used to dial the truck in more. What are some parameters you guys would recommend using the mapping tool on?

I have used that too. It kinda lets you know what the engine likes.
