Cracking Down on Street Racing/Meets

Has to do with Ricers, but looks like they are cracking down. Were at a Hooters parking lot. Guess we need to watch ourselves at an event like Trucks Nights or similar where we have large gatherings.

This was a total BS bust. My car team and I go to this meet all the time. Not everyone there are street racers. My friend got busted for tint on his windows because the police could not find anything illegal on his car. I will admit there are bad elements in the “Car Society” but we should not be stereotyped. My crew had PREMISSION from Hooters management to be there. Also there is no sign saying, “No Loitering.” I have no problem busting the ones that are committing illegal activities but dont classifiy all of us as “menace’s to society.” As the leader of my Team, I keep them under control. If you really want to keep us off the street, give us a Track where we can do our supposibly “ILLEGAL” activites. The reason there are street races is because we dont have a track to go to. And if there is it is EXPENSIVE to get it.

I agree with this guy.

I play on the street once in awhile and I am ready to accept the consquences if I get caught or something happens, but hanging out in a parking lot on private property they really should have no PC to do a susprise inspection. Id go straight to court with every car enthusiest in tow if it were me.

Wonder what would be the downfall of one of us?
Stolen engine or trans: Probably not
Illeagal engine mods: Wonder about that. Don't think the police would be able to tell cheeta vs factory, oversize injectors, EFI live?? Safe there probably.
Aftermarket intake: Could bust for that I guess.
Exhaust: Is over sized illeagle? Probably the missing kitty. I wonder if MRBP is considered "off road" use?
Water meth injection: Humm. I don't think they would be able say squirting window washer fluid in my engine is illeagle.
Cannot think of what they would get any diesel for except
Too loud of an exhaust, maybe if you had a couple 6inch stacks?
No mud flaps? Some states will cite.
Tinted windows?
They'd bust me for exhibition of speed. I accept that if I got busted.

This is not the first time this is happened out there. I think it was a year or 2 ago they towed 400 in that area iirc

some places they can get you for too much smoke. they call it "unnecessary pollution" or something.
