cracked piston

Well finally pulled and tore her down this weekend. I was expecting bent rods but as soon as I pulled the first head.off I found a cracked piston. I got lucky that it was just about 3 cm long and.not all the way across yet. I'm going to try to get a picture up.

That piston looks pretty damn good minus the crack

Some of the spray patterns were good and some were messed.up. one half in the bole.and the other half close to the wall definitely won't be going back to them for injector work

Extrude hone did the tips about 25000 miles ago

My brother had his Dmax block worked on at Enterprise, thats on the east side of Columbus though, kind of a drive for you.

Wow that looks like an interesting spot to crack. Is that typically where they crack, top, inside bowl (if I'm looking at it correctly)?

Good timing for sure. It seems it could have been much worse with as hard as it was pushed.

Ryan call BES and they can do anything you need to do. The have the TQ plate and are awsome people to work with. I will have mine there soon get get the heads done and rehone the block. The are in southern IN (ST. Leon) just outside of Cincinnati.
