Cracked lower A-arm crossmember.

Cleaned up the oil pan to confirm my front main seal leak, easy job. Cleaned up further and found this underneat the gunk :

The crack is right in the middle of the rust trail. stops on that face , doesnt go on top of the crossmember.

Did you notch the crack out for the weld to fall into?

and DRILL each end to stop it from spreading?

Notched what I could. Couldnt drill the end as swaybar was in the way. The pass you see is the second for safety as I pushed throught to the other side with the first pass. Had to cool the rubber bushing. It's thin enough to burn through with my mig.

Will have to paint frame soon...
