So I have the y-bridge out. Cp3 is loose and wiggling around. Trying hard not to just start prying on stuff and breaking it. Is there a trick to getting it out? Took the three mounting bolts out and unhooked all the lines. Does it fetch up on the drive gear? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.

what do you mean the 3 mounting bolts? the long ones with the spacers on them? there are 4 mounts hold the CP3 in place...

The three from the back side. What else holds it? Its moving a lot. I can spin it about 10-15 degrees and can see about 1/4-3/16 of the raised shoulder

The bolts you removed hold the adapter plate onto the CP3... the CP3 itself is still held in by 4 12 mm bolts.

You dont have to take those 3 out. Take the four from the front out. If its still stubborn pull the oil fill tube and pry on the nut that holds the CP3 gear on gently.

I feel like im missing a whole step. What has to come off the front? Does the gear have to come off in order to get the cp3 out?

Did you get the 4 bolts in the front of the engine out? If you did there is an oring on the adapter plate that likes to stick. If it is stuck on use a pry bar very gently to separate the CP3 from the front cover. If it is loose the you have to roll the pump towards the driver side and the back of it comes out first

Also did you remove the hard line from the DS rail that feeds the pass side rail? That has to come off

I had all the lines un-hooked. I talked to Maine04max and he said if it's most likely stuck with rust etc. I sprayed it all down with liquid wrench and called it a day. I'm going back to it when I get out of work today.
