Ok, I am on the downhill side of my upgrade/overhaul and I have purchased an LBz CP3 to replace my LB7 CP3. I am to the point of putting the new unit back in the truck and have found something that has me baffled and need input from anyone. The issue? I transferred the mounting bracket and drive gear from the old pump to the new pump, however, now the bolt holes that are closer together on the bracket itself are on the top instead of on the bottom. Now, mounting that bracket to the new pump is pretty much idiot proof, you can only mount it one way, but as shown in the pics below I am missing something somewhere.

Any ideas?

Front view of new pump with bracket installed the only way it will go.

And here, the view of the bolt pattern in the block, can someone explain to me how in the world this happened? What am I missing here? The wider spaced holes in the block are on top, but the corresponding holes on the bracket are on the bottom.

you indexed the adapter plate to the cp3 wrong, just spin it. the fittings arent supposed to be on the passenger side when mounted, they should be on driver's side facing up
