Well my CP3 pump finally bit the dust and i cant even drive my truck on the highway with a stock tune with out it throwing a P0093 code. Also only put out 124 mpa when 160 commanded at idle, also had my injectors done over a year ago and head gaskets last January.

Dealership wants 2700 bucks to replace it, i figure i can do it cheaper and learn something in the progress.

Where can i get a LBZ pump and LB7 reg for a decent price be it local (canada) or somewhere from the states

If you don't mind me asking, what is the pressure to the cp3 or lack of?

Sorry to hear but you'll change it and have plenty of change for some booze. :D

Sucks... Sure there is no other issues? I would think that a CP3 pump would either work fine, or totally shit the bed. Just due to the design.

If your interested. I have an LB7 pump I could sell to ya. Its in Sherwood Park. No idea whats its worth, I would have to figure it out.

And you could change that out yourself in less than a day easily. I would not take that to a dealership. Hell if you want someone to change it for you, I could arrange to have it swapped out for minimal cost.

the pressure to the cp3 is probably close to 10 psi with my Airdog 2. i was hoping it would fix it but still doesnt help. although it did help a bit down low with the big tunes but it would still fall flat on its face on the top end.

my truck is still at the dealer right now, but im going to be putting in a LBZ pump for sure with a LB7 reg, dont have EFI so i cant tune the reg tables. ive been dealing with them and i was told it would cost 1900 to install now, but if i can just buy the pump from them ill do that and install it myself. Ill have to talk to them tomorrow but my dad insists that i get the dealership to do it

And the CP3 is probably just wore out, the guy before me had two filters before the cp3 and ran a hypertech on lvl 3 all the time even pulling a trailer with 2000 pounds in the back of his truck. so im actually surprised that it lasted to 330k km lol

hmmmmm. 330k km and 2 filters eh.? I've been runnin the OEM and then post that, a stanadyne 5 mU one - then to the cp3. I'm at 245k km.

gulp..ok.. I really need to get a lift pump.

mind you, I dont run mega lrg tunes ... usually have an MT truck and only tow ~5000lbs in the summer from time to time.

If ya do speak to Ted at MPL in LA (Lacombe, Alberta), say hi from me..they did the first ever mod on my truck: EGR block and Fstick. Good bunch there.!

cheers,

Theo

ya but my truck has 330k km of HARD abuse, it used to be a bush truck for a mechanical guy up in Grand Prairie. so its seen plenty of mud and cold harsh winters and not to mention pulling huge amounts of weight with a tuner in it. So i wouldn't worry about your truck too much.

But ya ill say hi to Ted when i have a chance to stop in and get my trans fluid changed

Mine has 220K miles on it. I think you may have just got a weak cp3. Mine is still holding fine with a 500+ hp tune.
