Help! My 06 chev 2500DuraMax has been getting a code "Low Fuel Rail Presure". I am running a Banks 6-gun tuner with IQ display. Under full throttle the truck seems like it goes into some kind of limp mode.I had a new GM fuel Presure relief valve installed with a shim kit to insure good rail Presure. The code went away. How ever it still goes into limp mode. I had an AirDog 2 installed and it performs okay in power levels 1and 2, but levels 3-6 under full throttle in bangs hard when she get to stock ship point(3200 RPM) will slow down for 3-4 seconds then resumes pulling hard and bang again and keep doing this until I ease up on the throttle. Another observation, I can manually shift, under heavy throttle and take the RPM up to 4000 and there are no issues. does anyone have any ideas??

Sounds like you are describing a defuel. Pulls hard then feels like it's hanging then shifts then will speed up. Defuel. Check your shim kit. Do you have a way of logging it when it does it?

i checked that. im holding 26,000 fuel preasure and its calling for 24,000. when it get to the shift point it shuders real hard, then decelerates to about 2500 RPM then takes off again. im begining to think that it is a Banks programer problem. it runs fine if i shift manually with the thumb paddle shifter.

My banks does the same thing. There's another thread about it somewhere.

Not sure if you can stack the IQ over efilive, but even if you could.. Dont do it!!
Sell the banks, get efilive from a good tuner, and then buy a edge cts insight to switch the tunes and monitor parameters. Or just run a dsp5 switch:)

Yep what he said. The only way I've seen to use the iQ over efi live is to turn the banks tuner to stock and leave it there. You're better off with the cts

When the truck is up to temp & @ idle there is a green light on the tuner itself..if its a constant green the tuner is functioning properly if it's blinking in any sequence( long green, short green, or green-red) that means there is something wrong w/the tuner & the sequence in which it flashes is telling you what's wrong...sometimes its the pin connectors in the harness.....as far as the sequence & what it means banks has that info...Or maybe you can get it off their site, for me it's always been something electrical on my truck & not the tuner

Banks is garbage. Ditch the toy and get some real tuning before you really hurt your truck. I had a banks 6 gun with PDA and it was the worst tuner I ever had. It literally almost killed me, shut my truck down in the busiest intersection in town with cam postion error. Only good thing I have to say about banks is that their return policy is excellent... Lol...

I am not at all impressed with banks tuners. I've rode in trucks with edge tuners and efi live and they're light years ahead IMO. I'm selling the banks that came with my truck.

I guess it's a matter of preference & what you want out of your truck I tow w/ my truck 6 days a week for wrk & I've been running a banks package for years w/ no issues....a buddy of mine ran a 6 gun in his lbz for years but just recently went efi live cuz he wanted more...He beat the tar out of that truck for years w/ the 6 gun w/ no problems...but he did say he really liked the efi mainly because he made some mods & the tuning was designed around those mods. i just don't have the luxury of playin around @ the track w/my truck ,however that doesn't mean that I don't want to haha!!! & I suppose if I could I would probably go w/a custom tune....
