The in cab video of Casper taken with a Oregon Scientific camera was corrupt. I tried the disc recovery program I had. But, it only gave me 2 avi files the rest it saved as JPG's even though the are large files :( Pat tried with dos to change the file extensions to .avi but that didn't work.

Anyone have any other ideas?

You have a PM with a new prog to download.

I have found over the years SanDisk makes the best cards and the best software to get your files back.

If you are using a slower card it was makes things take longer I would use a SanDisk Extreme or Ultra card as they are what the pros use and are the fastest.

If you want to send me the files i can have them fixed for you. this is what my freind does for a living i had the same issue with one of my oregon cameras. he gave me a program he wrote but i am not allowed to guve it out. but i can send you back the fixed avi file if you want.

basicly what happens is the indexing gets screwed up it can usally be fixed

I'm still messing with it. The camera only saves to .avi and I have part of it. But the truck is just sitting there :(

Maybe the camera is not sanctioned to go 200mph.
Try the movie maker deal from above, you have to put them in sequence but it might work.

They should already be numbered in sequnece, she's missing the file that joins them all together. That's what Movie Maker will do. or perhaps Adobe Premiere if you have it.

I know Final Cut Pro and Avid Media Composer handle image sequences. Not 100% on Premiere or Movie Maker though.

Well I got the file. But neither Movie Maker or Windows Media player will open it. I got VLC Media player to play it. It crappy audio but it plays. I am attempting to upload to youtube to see if it plays. There is a bunch of garbage at the end but it is better then nothing.
