I hate to start a thread over this but i couldn't find any info. on this. When i installed my uppipe to pedestal gaskets the only way i could get them to fit properly was to have one gasket upside down. What i mean is one gasket had the ribbed/raised oring side facing up or toward the uppipe and the other gasket that same side had to be pointed toward the pedestal. I hope this makes sense, i could find NO WAY to get both gasket to fit the same way so they are installed opposite of each other i guess you could say. Is this normal i don't see why it matters:confused:

The gaskets are the same but the flanges are mirrored on the truck. You have to flip the gasket around to get the bolt holes lined up. It doesn't make any difference in the sealing ability.
