Ok, did a decent search and found nothing (but i can be blind too)

Now that i have my house, im counting down to motor build time (hope to have it pull by the end of oct, if not sooner). My question is, being that these LB7 injectors are so touchy, what is the best way to store them to keep rust from occuring or any internals from seizing up? or am i being paranoid? :D ill be capping off the fuel inlet and the nozzle end for sure.

I'd cap them, and put them in their own zip-lock bags, maybe with a spray of WD in each bag to soak up any moisture. Same with the lines, a lot of times they get junk in them from sitting around, dust etc.

I'd cap em and bag them with some Oxygen Absorbers.....the kind usually used for Food Storage. I would think it would work

Well the best way would be if you could run viscor through them, cap them and store in an airtight container. You might see if a local injection shop would sell you a small amount of it.

I always wonder about this i bought an 01 motor last year that only 2000k on it when it droped a valve the guy changed out the piston and bought a 25k head with the injectors in it and i got the original head also with 4 injectors in it.It sat till i came along and bought it 9 years later 2 were stuck open and 1 or 2 were working intermitantly so i guess i had 12 bad injectors it sucks cuz they were all low milers

Thanks guys. Sounds like ill be sprayin them down and baggin them and put some oxygen absorber deals in. I might pour a bit of diesel down the fuel inlet then cap it too.

Silica absorbs water not oxygen :thumb:. I would NOT pour diesel in them. Buy viscor or something that for sure does not have water in it.
