Just wondering if there are brackets available to relocate the coolant tank to where the passenger side battery is and where to buy them or do i just fab some up myself? or is there a different GM coolant reservoir i can buy that would be better suited for this? reason for relocation is making a new intake setup and coolant tank is in the way and want to move it.

If you talk to any of the vendors who sell twin turbo setups they should be able to help you out. It would also be very easy to fab yourself, I can try to post up some pictures of mine when I get a chance, I don't have any I'd have to take some.

Wherli stuff is grade A. I got mine from Merchant Autos website and I love it. It has a low coolant sensor too!

A cavalier coolant tank works great.Mounted might e to the rain gutter about the firewall.(I wasn't sure where the heat exchanger or the a/c cooling coil were at and I didn't want to put sweet metal screws into them.

I just bought some 1inch by 1/8th aluminum piece from rewards I think and bent it up in the vise so I could hook the tank on it.It worked out good.

So I'm going to dig up this old thread, because I'm doing the same thing as the OP, except I've got an LBZ. I moved my batteries, and I'd like to move the coolant res up to the firewall so I can build an intake through that space.

Anyone got pics of the cavalier/malibu/cutlass/ssr/alero/GA/sunfire reservoir in?

Also... what size is the lower coolant hose? The bigger one. It's about 1 3/8" OD... so 1" ID? I can't find any parts store that sells 1" heater hose, or splice connectors...

If anyone has some pics, or info, I'd love to see/hear it. Thanks.

Napa should have 1" heater hose.

They do! and I got some. And I found a local hydraulic supply company that had 1" hose splice's. So I'll get my coolant res moved up to the firewall this afternoon. I can post pics if anyone's interested.

I dislike Napa a little bit, because they are the ONLY parts store here that doesn't give a military discount. Advance, autozone, carquest, orielly, ALL do...But they are the only one of those that had the 1" hose...

Well, it's moved. Haven't got brackets built for it yet, but it fits nice and snug here.

I had to zip tie the AC hose toward the engine some, in order to get the res away from the fender enough to clear the hood hinge.
