Coolant and oil everywhere.

New to this form but I have a question I feel like has been answered 1000 times but I am lost in all the different threads. I bought a 01 lb7 at an auction a couple months ago not knowing much about it. It had oil in it but no antifreeze so I started it up and loaded it on the trailer with no problems. Finally got to messing with it and noticed there were two freeze plugs out of the head. Put two new ones in and then added two gallons of antifreeze and nothing ever registered in the tank. A little confused and worried I started the truck and a ton of antifreeze and oil shot out of the tube coming out of the oil cooler and started to run bad very fast so I killed it. Now the moter is completely full of antifreeze and oil and the cooling system is compleltly full of both too. After looking deeper into the motor I noticed a freeze plug out of the block too. Literally everything has oil and antifreeze in it now. Is this a head gasket or a even bigger problem like cracked block or something? How do I flush or clean all the antifreeze and oil out if even possible or if motor is good. Sorry if this has already been covered but I just have this truck sitting here now and trying to figure out what need to happen to it. Thanks for the time and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Teardown is the only way to find the problem. Hopefully you got the truck for a song, b/c the only real way you are going to fix it is with a new motor.

I read a recent case of something similar. Turned out the rear engine cover had a hole inside it and any antifreeze added poured straight into the oil pan.

sounds like pretty major problem. As in I dont think its head gasket because thats internal leak and you have external leak of oil and coolant.

when I had bad head gasket it didnt leak oil or coolant from the block. it did push coolant out overflow tube because of combustion chamber pressure leaking into coolant and pushing it out. also the oil did mix with coolant making the coolant dirty at mud water.

Pull the motor and tear into it. Not many other options. If you feel it's too much for you then just swap motors
