hey yall, anybody know what to torque the convertor bolts to?

I did a little search, and all I could find was that thread that turned into an 'extensions are the devil' thread..... It was a good read....

I beleive its 44 ft lbs off the top of my head...

Its tricky to get a torque wrench in there though. I always just lock-tite and get them "as tight as I can by hand with a 3/8 drive ratchet". I have never had any (dozen or so) come loose...my method might be considered wrong, I dont know, so dont take it as the gospel...but im just telling what has worked for me...

Thanks Ben.

I've heard the same thing about getting a torque wrench in there, but I figured I should give it a try. I think the addition of lock-tite probably is the part that keeps everything where it should be, even if it is a few ft/lbs short of the proper torque.

44# is correct . you can get a torque wrench to it if you use extensions and get the wrench up near the sway bar , but its a PITA . as far as reusing them ,for the $6 it cost to replace , isnt that a good piece of mind?
