converting to 1 battery

Would a guy just pull the second battery and make a connector for the 2 cables to hook together and complete circut like if battery was there?

How does one go about converting to one battery.

I'd also kinda want to be able to throw it back in somewhat easy if I go to a cold climate vacation.

We just did it on my buddies truck and we put a single red top optima and removes the passenger side batttery. Removed the ground cable completely and covered and taped up the positive cable as you cant remove that one. His truck starts fine in the NC climate and I am sure yours is similar

just disconnect the 2nd battery terminals and tape them up separately...

are trucks has that nice conection block mike on the pasanger side you can just unbolt all the cables. then theres nothing left over. and it will be nice an clean that way
