I just built an allison for a buddy in an 03, I drove it for a few days, with no issues. Gave it back to him, and he drove it home, pulled in his driveway and the converter stayed locked, and then he got a range shift inhibited message. I went and picked it up today, put it in gear, and you could feel it engage, but it wouldnt pull itself. Had set a P0742, cleared, and it did not reset. Got it home, put the tech2 back on it, engaged the tcc and then disengaged. Dropped in gear all good, went through rev and drive a few times, and then the converter locked again Data showed no apply So is it possible that I have a bad converter, or do I have a problem with the transgo valve? Oh yeah its a precision converter, full transgo, altos, cut pistons etc...
