So my understsnding is the converter locks up to help with heat? Stock lml in t/h mode is 29mph. Is there s disadvsntage to locking it say 10mph or 5 mph?
You have 3 threads all going for just about the same issue. There is this one, your question about a PID list, as well as "I think I toasted my trans today". This makes it very difficult to answer your questions as you're asking the same type of thing in 3 different places. As to answer this question, most calibrators will lock the converter sooner to help put more power to the ground as well has help things live a little bit. Locking the converter will help with heat but if you're overheating your trans due to the converter being unlocked under ~30mph you've got WAY bigger issues at hand.
