I hve an ats stage II with co-pilot and I am wonderring if my tc should be locking up as soon as it shifts into second when in tow haul, cause it don't it waits till its about to shift into third and if I ever let it downshift say from about 55 my tc doesn't lock up again till fifth gear. Is this normal??

What version of TC do you have? I'm no trans. expert but it almost sounds to me like you may have some clutches slipping?
What setting are you running your copilot at when it does this?

In t/h the converter should lock around 25-28mph and stay locked pretty much all the time if it's the stock tcm tune.

The lowest gear you can get it to lock in is 2nd. There's no table for 1st, but you can set it to lock as it goes into 2nd. just set the tcc lock table to like 5mph or something at wot and it should lock right as the shift is done. I can't remember the exact table numbers right off hand, but its in the TCC section.

Yes table D5065. Just set the whole table to lets say 10 mph or so and it will lock shortly after going into 2nd gear when your at wot. But also go to D5010,5011,5012,and 5013 and on pattern B start at about 75% throttle and set it to the same speed as you did table D5065 all the way to 100% and that should do it.:)

Thanks Bluemax, so let me get this straight, change table D5065 to 10 and then put 10 in the b pattern from 75% to 100% in D5010,D5011, D5012, and D5013, Will this hurt my tranny any? Thanks James

What happened? Did it work? My green light on the co pilot wont light if I get on it under 50-55mph. Say I hit it from 35, no light and the truck is slow for as long as I hold the throttle. Say I hit it from 55, the truck flys and the light stays on for most of the time

This is all in T/H btw. Could be I'm still on a stock trans

Im so tired of my truck.. It runs so inconsistent. One time it goes, others it doesn't. I'm almost to the point where I don't even want to drop the cash on a tranny because everything else I've spent cash on never really worked like it should have.

your inconsistencies are from your weak ass tranny guaranteed... PLUS! you have never had it on the track therefor how do you know its inconsistent? My truck sometimes hangs a shift here or there and it ET's almost the same

I can feel it. Its like night and day. I know its not a fuel supply problem now because it will go fast as hell, or slow as hell now, and i dont have a lift pump anymore.
