Hi everybody I'm new to the forum,
I have a question I'm going to be putting a 01 duramax in my 02 F150, I bought a wrecked 01 duramax with low miles that runs good, my plan is to put the engine and trans in, swap out the rear ends, and wire the truck like it was a chevy, has anyone done this? Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a fun project. Keep a time line and post it up. I want to do it to an f100 one day. Thunder runs a duramax 1500 on here.

Make sure the Allison will fit or you may need to lift the body a bit. Doing 2wd or 4wd?

Measure the axle width and make sure you won't need to cut down the tubes to fit. You'll need to swap out the brake system too. And of course some fab work.

Ben at bt can make you a stand alone harness for the engine so you won't need to rewire everything.

Any questions don't be shy. And welcome!

Where are you located?

Also since you have the motor out go over it best you can. Make sure it's all good. The early models were known for hg issues. Do compression and leak down tests. Anything you can check, do.

Thanks guys I will keep you all posted on progress, it's a 4wd :woott:

I'm not sure how much narrower the frame rails are in the 150. You have to account for the width of the tcase. And a bit more space behind the ally. You may need a few inches of body lift after all.

Good luck with it and keep us updated! Are you going to call it a Chord or a Fevy? :D

I vote fevy. Has a nice ring
