Did concrete go up that much with the fuel prices or what. I was quoted $4sqft to pour a 27x40 shop floor 4 inches with fiber. I was quoted low to mid 3's last fall. Seems like a big increase.

Not sure about the cost per sqft, but I paid 2.22 to form and pour and the concrete was $89/yard with fiber. This was July of '10 though

the forming will be minimal as will the grading, its close to grade as it is, I just thought $4300 sounded a little high.
thanks for the info!

yep sounds high. even if they order 15yards (those measurements call for about 13.2yrd3) at say $90 per yard thats about $3K in labor that should only take a day or two start to finish.

not sure what a cubic yard goes for out there though.

I've been doing concrete in Denver. The price of materials has come up a little. I'd do it for $3.50 a foot as long as the grade is close and there's no rebar.

Good to know...thanks! I was looking at my prior bids in october and I was quoted $3300 for 4 inch w/fiber and that quote had rebar in the front by the door.

I had rebar in the whole chain wall. My chain wall was 18x24 with it in the shape of a square and the corners wrapped.
