Ok I have a question for yall. Im looking to put a s475/stock setup on my truck (lb7). Im trying to build my truck in stepping stones, so im wondering if I get that setup, what turbo can I put in the valley later on when I need more air? Or will I have to ditch the whole 475 over stock setup. I was thinking a 480 over stock because I think you can put a 366 in the valley, but I haven't seen a 480/stock setup for a lb7. I was looking at getting the setup from Jason at wehrli fabrication. What do yall recommend?

My buddy has an lb7 that had a 475 over his stock turbo truck ran amazing he drove it for a few months and then I put a 480 on it over his stock turbo truck ran twice as good the 480 pulls a lot harder up top vs 475. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the s480 is the biggest you will want to go with on a stock motor.

That's what I was thinking about doing. Im not worried about blowing up the motor because when I happens its a perfect excuse to make it what I want :roflmao:

I'm not 100% but I think the piping would be different, they don't have the same heights or sizes but I would talk to Jason, very knowledgable guy!__________________
Piping is the same.

What would you put with the s366? A s480? or are there a lot of different options?

There are several different options. 66/480 is a pretty common set up on these trucks really depends on what your plans are with the truck. That same buddy built his motor and is running 66/483 put down 800 rwhp on his break in tune .

Piping is very different between an IHI and a s366. The s366 has a v band discharge flange and a 4" hose intake. The IHI has a bolt style discharge and it has a bolt style intake.

What kind of hp are you aiming for? I've got a 475 over a reworked stocker right now that I'm pushing pretty hard. Track times show it right around 750hp. This week or next I'm swapping a 480 wheel and cover on the big charger.

Its probably best I don't say what horsepower im going for, ive seen how that ends :roflmao:, But no its working it way to be just a race truck, but im just building it slowly, 1 because I don't have the money to put it all together at once, and 2 its my hobby that I enjoy so I like to gradually go up. Im really looking for around 850 to 900. But obvisously not till I build my motor. so what do I need for a good base setup that I can build off of

You can get a V-Band to hose adapter though if one was to need such a thing. The other cover for my S464 is going to get that when I sell it. If I had new about it when I first installed the 464 I never would have cut the one off my old turbo and needed to buy a second cover.
