has anyone tried these cams? it appears they have 3 different cam grinds for our trucks . another note : they have valve springs also .

I would recommend talking to Guy @ SoCal about your goals with the truck and what he can provide you in a cam before going somewhere else.... :thumb:

Not saying they do but I wonder who grinds them for socal???
Guy has the off the shelf comp cams on his site and they are cheaper thru him than comp direct . this wasnt intended to be a pissing match in anyway . Im in the process of trying to put a motor together and learn as much as i can on everything , and look at different options
They wouldnt sell it if it wasnt tested.There not going to hang there necks out there and chance it.I wouldnt worry one bit on putting a comp cam or springs in my d-max engine.Use there products daily.:thumb:
I'm pretty sure that Comp is who grinds SoCal's cams, but his cams are different than the off the shelf Comp choices and he can match one up for exactly what you have done to the truck and want to do with it. By the time you key a Comp cam you are close to what one of Guy's custom cams are, which come keyed. Comp Cams springs were also designed by Guy.
I run a comp cam in Abby that is originally purchased from Guy it is keyed and if guy would of had his custom ones I would of spent the lil extra JMO
