I could use a bit of help, I'm running out of time before the engine swap.

I want to log as much useful info as possible from the LB7 that I'm pulling. I haven't tried logging with EFI yet and would like to get data on fuel pressure, oil pressure, balance rates, etc. Can you tell me how to command max pressure and which PIDS I should select? Also if I need to be aware of any tricks to do this.

Thanks for any help

For rail pressure and basic info the "duramax imperial" pids will be just fine , and to crank the rail pressure at idle use the "DVT" section of the scan tool . The balance rates are easy too , just go to the pids and select balance rates as a pid , you have to select all 8 cylinders , and then use the "data" tab to view them after recording . here is a old pid file I have, with the usual pids and balance rates , I have several others also if you need more Rod hope this gets you started.

Thanks Trent. I'm having some success tonight, got the balance rates but am going out to try the fuel pressure again. How do you display the nice graphs after logging the PIDs?

I recorded this log and ramped up fuel pressure twice in the second half. It topped out at about 145 MPa at idle. Does that tell me anything significant about the CP3? This one I bought used for $500 with no history.

Now I want to learn how/if I can log without the laptop.

I know these are :baby: steps for most everyone, I just am short on time.

The command should let you hit 160 mpa. If you commanded 160 but only got 145 then you have issues that need to be addressed with your high pressure fuel system.
