So I've been getting the fuel filter 98% to 0 here lately so I got to looking yesterday and found that one of the lines in the engine bay was kinked. I saw people said that the gm tsb says to use hose that is 100r3 rated to replaced it with my question is can I use just regular hydraulic hose or does it have to be the 100r3? No place around me stocks that and it seems like it would be a pain to get. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

I'd recommend getting the right hose, last thing you want is a fuel leak. If you do go with an alternate hose, make sure it is rated for diesel. I don't think regular hydraulic hose will hold up.

Just use the blue or black push lock hose. Same stuff that comes in a fass/airdog setup. Usually around $2 a foot at any hydraulic/hose shop.

Man I wish I would have read this earlier. I didn't even think about looking for that stuff. I ended up ordering that parker 601-8 hose like recommended last night before I went to bed.
