Anyone know if GM has such a .pdf file or somthing explaining this? I need it to fight a municipal ticket for "squeling tires" some jag off motorcycle cop tried hitting me for reckless driving but settled for squeling tires, he claimed I smoked my tires through a 6 lane intersection, what he saw was a really light haze of smoke from a long ways back from a 20 mph rolling start, which isnt possible with the current "tow tune" in my truck.

Im looking to play the your honor I have a big slow 7000 diesel work truck theres no way I could of squeled my tires from a 20 mph rolling start let alone, from a stand still on a wet road. I need the cold motor protection info because I was only 3-4 miles from work on my way home and my motor wasnt up to temp, so the power was still limited, I just going to hope that the judge doesnt have a modded diesel himself or I'm screwed:D

So did you spin your tires or not... :D

maybe... just a little, but I dont know how someone a half mile back or more, on a Harley with a helmet could of known, he could of got me for excessive accleration or somthing like that without a doubt, but he was still in no posistion to decide whether or not I "squeled" my tires

$109 ticket dropped to $25 dollars, costed me 5 vaction hours to fight it all together. I was on the losing end of this one in the end I think...

:spit: thats cheap

I wanted to just get it dropped completely, its was just a municipal ticket, no points. Fought it more or less on the principle that the cop was in no position to call whether or not I actually did spin my tires through an intersection. But its better than a $109 ticket and wasted vacation time.

You were on the winning end if it went from points to no points;)

It has already cost me over $2000 to fight a $200 ticket. Got dropped to around $105. Told them point blank, give me $1000 in tickets as long as its no points:happy2:

I got pulled over for spinning my tires in a 1980 3/4 ton with a gooseneck trailer :confused:

The cop told me I did, I smiled and was like whatever man. He was serious, I argued him for like 15 minutes and he still wrote a ticket, I was pissed off. I told him to go F himself and I'd see him in court. He then detained me in hand cuffs and did a full inspection on my truck, I also ended up with an improper muffler, cracked windshield, window tint, no front license pate. That sucked, I told the judge I didnt think he had PC to even stop me period and I will plea not guilty, once I said I was fighting it and will get get an attorney, he dismissed it.

When I took off the tires started to spin do to lack of traction:rofl: and a cop pulled my over and gave me a warning and asked how the hell can you spin the tires with 30' trailer and a backhoe, just smiled and said I don't know:D

I got a fix-it ticket for not having a hood on my truck once. It was thrown out when the judge seen that there is no law saying I have to have one.

I was living in Palestine, Tx. at the time. Now I'm in Anchorage, Ak. Looking for a job. Same cop was caught snooping around my house the next day. Found out that he was a friend of some guy that was dating a friend of mine and wanted to keep tabs on me. Needless to say. That cop no longer has a job with the local police.

Thats funny... I had about the same thing happen to me. Cop gave me a ticket for reckless driving and squealing tires. I knew the basterd too. That's why he hit me hard w/ the fine. He said " i knew i would have you in my car one day". Needless to say we never liked each other in the first place. I fought it in court. Told them the cop must have been mistaken and saw the black smoke from my truck. After all it was 1 am i dont see how he saw anthing. Told him i had a 3/4 ton truck w/ a 500 gallon water tank in the back. (which had about 50 gallons of water in it) Don't see how i could possibly squeal my tires. The judge ask me what i did and how much money i was losing being in court. I told him and he said case dismissed and have a good day. I paid nothing and really didn't lose anything from missing work. My boss let me go with out charging me vacation. (free day)
