coilover problem

I have qa1 bearing coilovers and the bottom bearings blew out was wondering if others have seen this? any advise?

You have a pic of how you have your bottom setup? Only reason I can see is if there is any slop in the mounting bolt.

That's a bunch of weight for a needle bearing, can you get away with a steel shim instead?

I used some shims on the side to keep it from sliding......not sure if I ever showed that little piece. Was an after the fact thought.

You may have beat the bearing out of place from side force.

Pretty sure it's only got the bearing to make adjusting easier. The set for the drag truck said not to use them in heavy cars, so I'm guessing a truck would be considered heavy.

Mine really haven't touched the ground yet....why I was curious to see how the bottom looked.

They need to be stationary, or its gonna slop up and down on the bolt and make a hell of a noise and break.
