Wanted to give a huge shoutout to the Dmax store. Customer service is top notch, from the owner Mike, to Chad and Robbie in service, to all the kick ass techs.

Was debatting between going with the BDS 4.5" (what was on my old truck) and the Cognito, but must say that the knowledge and customer service of all the guys down at the Dmax store is what really sold me on going with them and the Cognito lift. When I bought the BDS lift on my old truck, price made the decision for me, but the dealer I bought it from couldn't hardly answer any questions. When I had dropped my truck off I told him I wanted the front CV's flat, and the truck level (which it should have been with the 2" Deaver mini pack I purchased to raise the rear). Was excited to see the truck, after 2 days (they scheduled me when their tech was only working a couple hours in the morning), finally got to go pick it up and was super pissed about how it looked. Front end was jacked up to the sky (probably 6"), CV's were maxed and the guy told me I needed to buy blocks for the rear to get it level. Needless to say I was fuming, not the experience I was hoping for. Ended up adjusting the ride height myself to get it level and had to get it re-aligned.

This time around, dropped my LMM off, 8am, they were waiting for me, got the paperwork written up, told me prolly wouldn’t be done till the next day. Got a call that afternoon with a update, rust was giving them hell and some stuff was bent up from the previous owner, but they worked through it and were still on track to finish the next day. Next day arrives, got a call before lunch that it was about done, just putting the wheels on, setting the height then off to alignment. Bout an hour later got a txt message from Chad with pics of my CV angles and how the truck was sitting, bout a ½ inch high in the front. Discussed putting blocks in the rear, but had them leave it as is, since I am going to be putting on a front bumper and winch, which should get the front right where I want it. Great communication, great work (not a shady hack job) and industry knowledge is what will keep me coming back to the Dmax store not only to purchase my parts, but to have them work on my truck.

Another thing, the center caps on my SOTA SSD wheels wouldn't fit on the rear wheels, they let me know in a phone call, no biggie, not their fault, I didnt even order the wheels through them. But they cleaned up the axels/hubs and shot them with a fresh coat of black paint to make them look good. Amazing attention to detail and the little extra effort that most places wouldn't do!

Trucks looks great in the pics, but in real life is so amazing. This thing drives and rides great. Not sure if its the shocks or more sidewall on the tires. Way smoother ride, there was a slight vibration before, thats gone as well (not sure if its the 1 piece alum driveshaft of the tire balancing). Truck looks fantastic, super stoked, cant wait to drive it to work tomorrow and see how these tires do in the rain (it start pouring about an hour ago).

Stance of the truck when I bought it.

After the Dmax Store did a kick ass job installing my Cognito lift and new wheels/tires.

Ya, sits great, rides great. Quality of the lift is A+. Steering feels better than the BDS kit, not sure if its the knuckles or the PISK kit.

If you havent done anything to the tie rods, when you put the lift on is the perfect time.

Nice. Let us know how it handles fire roads and trails if you hit any. Ive oredered a few parts from them and ive had good experiences with them just to bad they cant get the shipping under control. This is why my business from this point with them is limited... nice looking lift.

Wont be for a while. They are all under snow right now, ranch roads on the way home seemed smoother, I think that is because I went from a 31.5" tire to a 34" though, so it rolls over the smaller stuff, also has a taller sidewall to help with some of the small stuff.

Who did you have shipping issues with, dmax store or Cognito?

Looks awesome, did you need to clearance the front fenders like that to clear those tires?

Dmax store. Dont get me wrong I have full faith in their products and staff was knowledgeable but when it came to shipping they didnt even spit on it. I ordered items that were free shipping (large items) and some small items that could fit im the palm of my hand. I called them and asked why is it saying i owe money for shipping? They gave me some long story and said they cant combine shipping on items. I said ok. I get my parts and all items are combined in free shipping boxes. Im thinking to myself maybe thats why i payed $48 to send small items in a few large boxes with free shipping. Total scam

That doesnt sound right. Was your order going outside of the lower 48?

No down south here. Like i said i called and asked if items can share the same boxes the answer i got was no you dont combine shipping and next thing you know i get all my items inside the same box with my free shipping items. I guess everything you sell has a pre determined shipping price due to its weight, not the dimension and weight of items in a box. I can say the technical customer service i got was good and knowledgeable. The prices are great on most items and the items ARE quality but because and only because of these issues my ordering items from them has halted and may continue to stay this way.

As a side note to some. You created an account on this forum to reach out for customer service and to resolve a over looked issue. Thank you.
Its to bad because i need parts and being relatively new to buying aftermarket/stock parts for my project i was happy to find this business that is somewhat close and knowledgeable to me. Man that dmaxstore.com sticker would look killer under the stars and bars on my back window.....

I'm wondering why DS has had the account for 7 years yet never contacted the Admins to become a S/V here?
Granted, the forum isnt what it used to be performance-wise, but its still one of the most viable out there.

Looking at the pics did you have to do a big fender mod on that truck? The thought crossed my mind a lot about doing it if I ever wanted to run 37s. I'm clearing 35s no prob, like I said maybe a later down the road thing.

No. Didnt do any fender mod, the 285/75r17 is 33.9" so just under 34". Also, my backspacing is 5", so they dont stick out as far as some. I will say I get ever so slight rub if at full lcock. Going to look at clearancing it just a splash so I don't get rub, I know if I hit a bump at full lock (like going into a driveway) it will rub pretty good. Looks like there is some room behind the fender liner, as where it rubs is about 6-8" into the wheel well...

Sorry to hear that. I honestly cant comment on shipping, I live close enough that I drive down there and pick up what I need.

I've already got rare parts g2's, a gusset, 5" cognito sway bar links and a straight centerlink, I'm hell on a front end, that's while I'm putting a lift on, I'm tired of breaking and wearing out parts.

No disrespect fellas. Just trying to maintain and keep up with an increasingly booming industry. We would be interested in sponsoring this forum (Hey Admin send me some info please)
On another note our UPS bill exceeds 1/4 million a year and we try hard to absorb most of it. I don't like any customer feeling like they did not get a great value from us so lf you want to send me a PM with your order # I can do some research.

No disrespect taken. I know how hard it is to run a business and you cant please everyone. Most People want everything free and nothing is their fault and you owe them for the inconvenience. I got what i think are good parts and good service for a fare price but like i said its irritating when i call and was told you cant combine free shipping items with other items in the same order (i was charged for each part separate $12.50 for a cat filter and $16 for a filter lock just for shipping). then when I receive said items they are in the same box and i paid for items to be shipped . At that point i would think free shipping items in one box and paid items in another, not togather.

Any who. Truck looks good cant wait to throw a cognito lift on mine with solistic shackles, deaver 4" pack, air lockers and a steering system ill make a custom hoop to run a set of fox 3.0's up front. Should ride like a 1500! Wish i lived kinda close then again its best i dont. My credit card would be hurting like a pickled liver after saint pattys day.

I'll pass the info onto the Admins. We appreciate it very much!

I personally thank you for using UPS for shipping. :thumb: Hope you're happy with the service.
