Getting on the freeway tonight hit the switch and rolled on it. Threw two codes P0700 and P0777? Truck limped into fourth gear I lost reverse and when I turned the truck off cleared the code all is well. My question is what are the codes and also will this keep happening till I use a smaller tune or go with a build.

P0777 is a clutch going off too slow when an oncoming clutch is being applied. ( big tie up, 2 gears at once, ) This happens with bad tuning in the ECM, bad turbine or output speed sensors or their wiring, or transfercase problem. It can also mean a trans on its way out. Keep your foot out of it till it's diagnosed with a tech 2 and someone that knows how to use it.

Other then what has been explained to me as a sticking valve no shifting problems or anything like that. And I have used that tune millions of times and nothing. Just this once.

Mine did it the other day too and my local trans builder said he has seen the six speeds tie up like that when you hit a bump and it is trying to shift. He told me to reset the codes and give it hell on a smooth road. It did it one more time under moderate throttle so i reset it again and put it to the floor from a dead stop to 115mph and it shifted great. I have been beating on it since wih no issues (knock on wood ) but i am also purchasing all my parts for my build and will have it built next year.
