i was working on my truck i remplaced the lower bearing and the intermediate shaft after i got everything back together and time for a test drive...oh crap the truck wont start i plug my v2 to see what the heck and it shows this code P1631 "theft deterrent start enable signal not correct i check everything and cant find anything wrong is there anyway that i can fix this thing

Isn't your ECM already licensed?

Can you read your ECM?

yeah thats what i thought but i wanted to do a full reflash and thats what its asking me to do so i dont get it

You need to see if you can read the ECM?

You might either have to program the vin with EFI or do an emergency relearn.

You can try with EFILive if you read the first post of Cougar
OR.... Fire up your scan tool, connect to the ECM, activate DVT select "Learn Now" under "VATs Relearn".

what i did i opend the tune tool and click on the green arrow next to the other two red arrows and everything when fine and when it was finish it show me a really weard vin#
so i try to do a full reflash then i keep getting the messege i post on the picture above
besides that how can i see or what can i do to see if im able to read my ecm

What happens next if you tried this but the bar turns red and says "no reply" after activating the DVT? I can't get mine to do anything after trying this.
