Does anyone have any suggestions for a good way to clean the transmission parts since I don't have a parts cleaner? I'd like to clean everything once the trans is apart, and a nice high-temp parts cleaner would be great, but I don't have one... NO I can't use my dishwasher . Ideas?

Brake clean and compressed air. NO RAGS! Rags have lint and thats one of a trannys worst enemies! I use brake spray and air and if i hafta have a towel, i use Wype-alls. There lint free paper cloths that are used in autobody. And still blow with air after;)

Is this something I can make into "bath" for the internal parts? If not, any suggestions for something I can mix up in a tub to "dip" all the smaller, internal parts in to clean them?

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to go get one of those (I have a HF a few miles from home).

the only downside to that parts washer is it pumps alot of solvent and amost has to high of psi , i took a chunk of micro fiber cloth and zip tied around the nozzle and it doesnt splash everwhere any more .

I just picked up a pail of this. Anyone have any experience with it?

It says it leaves a light, non greasy film to inhibit corrision. Is that going to be a problem with anything (such as clutches or steels)?

Since I can't edit my post, here's the FAQ on the solvent:

» What is the difference between Super Agitene and Regular Agitene? Both are petroleum-based solvents. Super Agitene contains Hand Ease, a cosmetic-grade lanolin formulation, which replaces some of the skin's natural oils removed by the solvent. It helps reduce the chance of irritation and chapping, and leaves a light coating on parts to help retard corrosion. If preparing a part for painting, Regular Agitene is recommended

I called graymills and they said it shouldn't pose a problem, but after some more reading, I'm a but nervous about using the solvent with lanolin Gonna take it back and look for something else.
