Looking to bring my stereo system up to date. Maybe some one on here can steer me in the right direction.

That being said, I'm looking to replace all 4 speakers in the doors, and put a deck. I am just looking for updated easy to use touch screen radio that I can Bluetooth my phone into for incoming calls and a DVD option would be sweet.

For speakers just looking for ones that have a better crisp sound output. If I ever add a sub, it will be a very simple 8 inch sub. I'm not that big into bass but alittle is perfect to me.

What's your thoughts fellas!

JL door speakers are what I did in my 10 single cab, sound great. I went with a cheap pioneer touch screen and so far so good...

I have JL door speakers and a pioneer DVD headunit and it has been flawless for almost 10 years

TX of course
Go to a good car car audio place and listen to what they have. Just like with everything it’s more about your set up than the actual components you use. Don’t put much into the rear speakers, because well that’s not where you sit so it doesn’t matter as much.

audio has gotten better over the years. my truck has 13 year old pioneer 6.5" 4 ways up front and 6.5" 3 ways in back with 4 old style 10" P2 single voice coil subs and a very late 90s 1600watt rockford amp, then a 2009ish pioneer flip/touch screen deck. My amp is finally dieing but overall it sounds great.

that said, i started looking at new speakers for my tracker to get some damn bass out of it without needing to put a sub in (miss having bass in there). i started researching on 6.5" combo speakers as i didnt want to mount tweeters. found that Polk audio 6.5 coaxial's had some really good reviews. obvioulsy ill never get the bass my truck has but i put these in along with a cheap deck and the sound is great! i get much better bass out of these than my pioneers in my truck if i turn the subs off and highs/mids are very clean. a small amp would really help the bass and i may add one to get a bit more from them.

I did rockford fosgate coaxial in all four doors and in the a post went with kicker tweeters. I truly should have went with rockford fosgate tweeters in the a post because you can adjust them at the cross over. Next i am putting in a 6 inch sub in the stock bose box with an adjustible 300 watt amp.

Sound deadening will make a huge difference in whatever you do.

I know Im an outlier, but my 12 y/o OEM Denali lux system is still the best sounding stock system Ive ever heard. Nothing has ever touched it for performance in any other car/truck Ive ever ridden in.
Never finished it with the rear mids, but honestly dont need them. I have no wants for anything else. Good bass for me (I hate thump), loud as hell with no distortion that I can discern.

Now, the Cruze, well....that needs help.

I like Kenwood stuff, I have a touchscreen one in mine that does Bluetooth, USB and line out, I used PAC modules to adapt to the truck and retake steering wheel controls. Had it for a couple years, no issues.

I also bought one of the cheap amazon line out/USB plugs and replaced one of the cigarette lighters, works well.

No comment on speakers, I am also in need of them
