OK Folks, I'm trying to recover my 60ft times a little by Wed. I'm in the process of Fabing up some Rear-Spring Clamps and I was wondering if everyone is Clamping just the Front of the Spring or Both sides?? I've read to do both and just the Front..WTF Works??

When our street cars had leaf springs, we would only clamp the front half and leave the rear unclamped so the pack would separate when the housing tried to rotate...

I only clamp the fronts, i bought my spring clamps at auto zone. but to use the ones i bought i had to grind two little grooves in the bottom leaf for the u bolt to fit over it. it actually works well and keeps them from moving around should they try to!
