What kind and where can I get pliers to get those split clamps off and on. The clamps I'm talking about have two bards on one side and one on the other. You squeaze them together and it opens up the clamp. I need it to open up FARTHER than a set of reg. pliers can open them.

The clamp in question is on the coolant line going to my turbo... I was gonna remove that sucker to make a little extra room to get the inlet pipe off and put the Superdiesel one on. Now I can only get that stupid clamp back on half way, it needs to open up just a tad more.

Might just take that stupid clamp off and put a reg. hose clamp on and say to hell with that thing.

90 degree bent needle nose pliers have worked really well for me on those clamps.

I was gonna run by napa and sears and take a looksee. I guess I'll givem another go with the 90* needle noses again. It just pissed me off because as I'd try to push it past the lip of the hose, it would hang on the hose and push the hose off the hard line to the turbo and coolant would pour out consequently. A few tries of that while standing on my head was all I wanted of it in the 90* heat at the time.

Guess I just need to man up and quit being a sandy v. :baby:

Normal snap on pliers work great too. You can buy ones that are pretty wide but Ive never used a pair of pliers that had more grip than them. Theyre only about $25 a pair too.

squeeze with pliers and slide line off with clamp in place, after you get it off, do your self a favor and put a regular gear clamp on.
