cigarette lighter

anyone else have issues with the cigarette lighter adapter on the driver side center console, as long as I have had my truck it does not work.

Is this a common fault? easy fix?

Check fuses? There are separate fuses for the two 12volt sockets on that console.

yeah, not the fuse, guess ill check the wires. thought it might be a common issue

Mine doesn't work either and fuses r fine also

Another possibility is some aftermarket equipment (alarm, remote start, etc) got installed at one time and could have tapped the cigar lighter power wire. Either a broken wire from those awesome scotch locks or maybe a bad butt connector. I've had to fix a few issues like that from our local Car Toys installs.

Mine caused me problems for a week and the started working again.
