Found it! Sweet truck!!!

Did you buy it complete or as a roller?

Roller, with most of its parts in the bed and cab. And some new parts in the box. Big items missing are rods, injectors, turbo, ficm.

But between what I’m selling and repurposing to the Chevelle I really won’t have much in a stock motor and modded trans.

I did, it got to the shop today. It’s Brian’s old LLY.

I know it has a lot of history on the track. I have no intentions of keeping it that way. Most of the go fast parts have been allocated to my car, and my workers trucks. They both have trucks they are building and are literally scavenging parts of my new truck. My new truck will be going together as a fairly stock truck to replace my 02 LLY, motor is already on the stand and hope to be a long block by this weekend. I’ll be selling my 02 soon but as an LB7.

Can’t wait to see it come together.

It’s a shame he didn’t put the truck back together.

I actually didn’t realize it was Brian’s old truck. Wow.

Speaking of which what’s he been up to?

Parts are rolling in and short block is almost done. Hoping to wrap it up tomorrow.

This one’s an Lbz block, .020 over Mahle forged pistons. Rods and crank checked out from our last combo so reusing those. And this block has a main girdle with factory mains. Also upped the cam to the SoCal 9100AF.

We’re upping the heads to SoCal stage 2’s and injectors to S&S 300% as well. Still waiting on both of these but should be shipping soon.

Well, yearly update. Motor still going strong, ending this 2024 season with the same short block from my last build above. Made a couple changes mid season this year. Had to replace a head as it developed a water leak into an exhaust port. So Went with the fleece cupless heads, stock out of the box but moved over my SoCal springs over.

Also switched up on the fuel system, we made the change to Exergy mid season as well. Just needed a single pump that was going to hang with all the power we’re trying to make and not hold us back. The Alpha 550 is no joke, pump went in after the public release and haven’t looked back. We picked up et, mph and useable rpm. In fact so much rpm technically we don’t need OD anymore for 1/4 runs, mind blowing. And switch sticks to exergy, same size 300’s.

Those of you contemplating moving into this pump or questioning what it’s capable of. Currently we are pushing about 1700hp, with nitrous, 29k rail pressure at 1150pw and it holds rail without issue at 6k rpm, no prob. Never misses a beat and at 900-700 mA. There’s still room. I feel it can support 2k plus maybe even up to 2400-2500hp in a Dmax.

End of last year switched to the s475, t4 1.0 housing 93exh wheel from stainless, works good.

2024 was legit, bettered every part of the car on the dragstrip, 60’ 1/8 et&mph, 1/4 et&mph. Completed entire NHRDA season, took the super street championship. Ran sick week, took the fastest & quickest diesel there. Put 8k miles on the car this year, 5k last year so 13k on this motor.
