Feel really dumb for asking this, but what is considered hot number wise for when checking level?

At 160* area its at the higher side of hot on the stick, will that be an issue?

Checking the fluid should be done at 175F or as close to that as possible. Check both sides of the stick and use the lower mark as reference because if there is a high side it will be splash. Take 3 readings and make sure you wipe the stick each time. If the fluid level is higher than the half way point in the hot grid; it will cause the trans to run hotter. Won't hurt anything but under hard usage it will burp out the overflow. Eventualy it will reach the proper level after a number of burps.

Ok, thats what I was curious about, highway cruise temps seem to be the same, but it seems to climb faster round town.
