I read a post several days ago on how to test antifreeze with a test meter. I was wondering if anyone remembers the readings for good and bad antifreeze. After reading MANY posts I have been unable to find that again. Thanks

Maybe I read the post wrong but I thought the guy was using a digital meter set on ohms and grounding the negative and laying the positive in the antifreeze through the overflow tank.

It is called electrolysis, it is a chemical reaction when stray dc voltage gets into the engine coolant. It is usually caused by bad or insufficient engine ground straps. Electricity will always follow the path of least resistance. OP are you just wanting to check or do you have a issue?

Thanks. No I do not have an issue. I must have been way off base with what I thought I was reading. I thought the guy was using the meter to test if the antifreeze was still good or needed to be replaced. I probably should have went to bed a lot earlier that night. Sorry for the dumb post.
