Check odometer with V2?

Is there a way to check the odometer reading with my V2? I have a truck with a bad cluster, shocker, and it won't display the miles. Iis there a way to check the miles that are stored in the PCM? Not looking to change it or anything just to get a numerical readout. If anyone knows be steps to find it Id appreciate it thanks.

No, you need a Tech 2. The only place on the truck that miles are stored is in the cluster.

GM didn't do like DODGE then. I know DODGE stored it in EVERYTHING. The PCM, BCM, cluster, and soemtimes even the airbag module kept track of the milage in them.

Yes, up until 2015, mileage was basically only stored in the cluster.

The 2001-2014 ECM does store some mileage info like miles since last regen, miles since DTC clear, etc. But not actual "overall chassis mileage".

2015+ trucks/SUV's are way different though, lots of modules share everything. The immobilizer on the 2015+ trucks/SUV's is incredibly complex (they finally caught up to the Europeans with immo technology), and even the ABS and HVAC module store anti-theft and environment identifier info...
