Any advice on studs? No fear of head gasket problems removing just the head bolts?

My truck was already studed, but I was planning on doing them one at a time when the injectors got replaced, I was just going to use arp2000s. You don't have to stud it, but with my lead foot, mine would of blow.

For got to mention .. Already have air bags. I'd love to do exhaust, not sure the family wants to listen to that hum for our 18 hour trip. Lol. I'm hoping the efi live will blow my edge away. Truck pulled fairly well up & down the PA hills. Was just looking for a little more boost I think. Just want to stay reliable and quiet if that's a possible combo.

If you are going to run efi live and are replacing the injectors, and head studs, put some tips on those bad boys and get a nice bump in power, a lot of guys like DDP 50 hp tips, I would suggest exergy 20%. And possibly an s300 turbo upgrade. Sound like you have an intake already:thumb:

Sway bars will help massively, to keep the truck level in corners, and eliminate sway going down the road, and all in all provide a more planted and secure feel in all driving situations. Bracing up the front end parts of the IFS is something every gm owner should do and will help immensely with steering feel. As said already, a set of air bags is a nice upgrade for towing, a good set of shocks will do more than you would think as well.

Since you are planning a new set of injectors, ABSOLUTELY THE FIRST/next immediate thing you should buy is a dual filter lift pump!!! An air dog 2 150gph pump will fit your needs perfectly, protect and preserve those injectors

I don't think most guys here like banks, but the cool duals coupled with his quiet tone exhaust is pretty mellow while towing, my diamond eye 4" gets pretty loud while pulling 12k up the western passes here in the cascades, wakes the kids up and annoys my wife, but it's only when I'm really in it

What's everyone's feeling on banks power pack systems, or just stick with efi live, how about a new inter cooler ?

Really appreciate all the feedback guys!!!

Banks is great but a little overpriced in my openion and I dont think an intercooler will help much if any at your power level.

if you go with a muffler it is pretty quite. I added a banks monster muffler to my 4inch, towing is real nice, I did remove it once and added a straight but could not hear the radio and the drone was terrible towing our 13k 5er

I put a banks wastegate on my lb7 and that was also a very helpful mod. Seemed the truck had no problem at the bottom end, but needed help getting up the hills at cruising speed. Between the wastegate, ported turbo horn and CAI, that seemed to help the most(besides the EFILive). I just did injectors about 3 weeks ago and I really want to throw a lift pump on myself.

I dont think you would have any issue running a 4" with a muffler. It'll help get your egts down a bit and the noise isnt bad at all IMO.

If your asking me the right bank had 145k on the stock injectors, the left was replaced at 90k by the orginal owner. I have deleted the cat and replaced the front pipe of the exhaust with an mbrp pipe, the rest is stock. Never seen my EGT gauge over 1250. Usually up a decent grade its 1100-1200. My 30' gooseneck with my LMM on it is around 16k to give you an idea on weight. I am too nervous about it being too loud. Like mentioned before, I don't want to listen to an annoying drone for 4 or 5 hours. Everyone has different tolerances but that's just me.

I have 4" Magnaflow with muffler on mine and i don't notice any drone when pulling my gooseneck. Nice while cruising and a little loud when you get on it. :thumb:
