I have used chassis saver before.but I have never painted over it with another paint. Has anyone personally painted over chassis saver to color match the rest of their truck other than black I cannot find anything online about this

THe purpose of my question is my truck is red and I am putting it abound the quarter panel lips after I grind the red paint that has flaked then putting new flares on my truck I would just prefer to paint red over the black chassis saver
Thanks

I put rubber undercoating over it after I blasted my frame. No issues with it sticking but I wouldn't consider that paint. Also with chassis saver make sure u put it on very lightly. Or you will get little white bubbles and that stuff is hard once it sets.

From their website homepage:

Application Note: While Chassis Saver has incredible rust and corrosion resistance and can be used for all underbody applications without top coating, it is sensitive to UV light (sun) and its initial appearance will change over time. Its “RUST STOPPING” properties and corrosion resistance will never degrade but its color will shift from black to charcoal gray. Silver-aluminum remains very close to it’s original appearance. If aesthetics are important, Chassis Saver can and should be top coated with a quality industrial or automotive finish. Any opaque finish is effective. Clear coating is not recommended as protection. Suitable topcoats include any MAGNET Finishing System including 4800 Series Synthetic Urethane Enamels, MAGNACRYL™ 9000 Series Acrylic Enamels or MAGNATRON™ 5000 Series Acrylic Polyurethane Enamels. Call customer service or ask your local distributor for more information.

Yes I seen that and tried on my first ccsb wich I had done the door pinch welds with chassis saver and I have the high gloss finish but after a few months the silver birch truck paint was flaking off the saver maybe I didn't rough it up enough I had sanded it down so it was no longer glossy used a primer then sprayed it with the truck paint this is why I am asking questions first this time already had it not turn out not so well before. Any how I didn now find a contact number for magnet paint company I'll give them a ring

You didnt happen to use duplicolor in the spray can did you? I sanded the factory finish and wiped down with paint prep before and after sanding. It is all peeling clearcoat and all and this is on the inside lower part of the doors. My truck is also silver birch not that it matters.

On this truck I used 26 grit with my die grinder got it nice and rough
Let it rust up a tad then went went over it with scotch brute pad prepped it applies chassis saver in thin coats (3) total did it this way because I spoke with magnet paints personally
Was told this would be best way to tackle the project..we will see now I'm looking for a decent Rock gaurd to go over I have used (gravitex) before and had good luck ececpt for you have to paint over it cause it is a flat and shows water stains. Just looking for a good (final) tough gaurd with no over painting required ?:thumb:
