I don't know if that is the correct terminology or not but does anyone know if they (gauge manufacturers) make an air temp gauge that you could install pre and post innercooler to see what the exact temp is leaving the turbos and what is going into the engine? I'd think that would be a valuable piece of information, especially for tuning and deciding on the type of innercooler you might want to run.

Juts run 2 temp guages to get the (delta T) .this looks good ad cheep http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CYB-A024E061N/
or are you looking for one guage tat dose the math for you

Don't think that one from summit will work, need a probe similiar to an egt probe to insert into the pre and post innercooler pipes. The Aeroforce gauges look like they will work, just not totally sure which one, the Analogic one I think, appears you can get probles with it.

I use K-type thermocouples and efilive, so i can monitor intake temps and get them in log too.

Did you get that to work? Last time I tested it (a very long time ago) it did not work.

Subman, your Isspro logger has all kinds of sensors available for it. Just add a couple.

One problem you'll see with a race engine is sensor response time. If a sensor takes 10 seconds to act, it's useless, so you need to test the sensor before installing.

A very interesting sensor to play with is the EGT sensors on LMM trucks. They read accurately from 0°F to over 1832°F with excellent lifespan. Unlike thermocouples, they do not require an amplifier, they are resistance based.

I never got a chance to play with the LBZ IAT sensor2, but it is another sensor that might be better than the aftermarket options.

Thanks Pat, we'll check into that. The response time was a main worry, I don't know if it worth messing with or not, but seems like would help evaluate how well your innercooler setup is working.

Mika, what brand thermocouple did you use? I haven't had any luck getting efi live to log egt's either.
