Hey all I'm a newbie at the diesel world and know very little about them so I'll probably be bugging you all way too much.Lol Any how my first question is I'm purchasing a 2008 GMC 2500hd.From what I am gathering this is the LMM?Anyhow the cel is on and the dealer tells me it is because the truck has an Airaid intake and it sucks so much air that it screws with the sensors? That's what he said the techs told him.If this is true can something be done to offset the maf so this thing is not constantly lit up.Cause if there was another problem,How would I know it if the lights already on?Would I be better off to find a set of the oem air intake to install back into the truck?I really don't want this light on all the time. Thanks for any help.:)

If it's on because of the intake the code should be a P0101, and it will also show reduced engine power on the dash. Atleast from my experience and a few others. LMM's seem to be really picky when it comes to aftermarket intakes or drop in filters. I have friends that put Banks or S&B intakes on their trucks and they didn't set and codes.

Thanks for the info..The dash did read reduced engine power and I asked the salesman about it and he told me that was normal.I kind of wondered about that.I think I will go back to the stock setup as soon as I can locate one someone is selling...Thanks again :)
