Help: CD stuck and "initializing" message

My truck has the Bose 6-disc changer. Last Wednesday morning I was changing cd's while my truck was warming up and it got stuck between two discs.
When it did so I lost all functions in "cd" mode. Then an initializing message.

I tried pulling the fuse that evening and then the 12345 disappeared and the disc icon is flashing everytime I start the truck.

I did some internet searching and found someone that took their player apart. I tried that tonight, pushed down on cd 1 (didn't push down the whole stack) and now it recognizes it but still won't play or recognize the other 4 discs in there.

Anybody ever had their players apart or offer any insight?

The CD Players that come with the Bose Package are terrible, mine has given me lots of strange problems. My buddies Escalade did the same exact thing you are referring too he had to replace his... they are pretty inexpensive. Sorry I can't offer any help

I might try to tear it apart again, since I have basically nothing to lose.

mine did that... press the load button. when it says insert disc, press the 1 button, wait for the disc to start playing, then you can eject it.

if there is no disc 1, insert one, then move on to disc 2. etc. I got all my discs out without removing the radio.

No, it won't do anything in CD mode its like the unit is off, but the disc icon is flashing. When i try eject it says "no discs loaded". I haven't tried unplugging the harness again though. Another great example of GM/Delphi electronics.

Quick fix...I have been using an ipod lately
