This has been on the back burner for a while since the Cheetah's don't require one.

The height adjustment is easy...

Since these will be cast the diameter change may be a little more difficult.

I can change the model and see what happens in the casting. I've thought about ditching the divided housing and merging the two inlets in the pedestal to make more room.

What diameter up-pipe would you like to see?

As far as ordering... that may be a while.. I'm just getting back on these. I can however provide the laser cut flanges and you can DIY creating your own tubing inside. The uppipes could then be lasered to whatever size you want.

Have you looked into the pattern costs to make this?

Found a place to pour stainless, and priced it?

I get the feeling these things will cost a flippin fortune once it's all said and done. Casting is generally only advantageous in high production run applications. But if you need any help let me know, I work with custom castings everyday and many in the automotive/aerospace world. I'm sure my guys can get it done.

We have a place in Louisville that casts stainless and there's another place north of us. The guy that I had laser scan an LLY turbo to come up with the drawing seems to think it won't be as much as you think.. They cast in 100lb pours so that would only be about 10 pedestals at a time.

But would love to hear your input.

What type of mold will you use? investment, foam, etc?

If you're doing 10 of them it seems you could easily have $400 into each of them just trying to recoupe pattern costs. Granted there isn't much metal there, but pattern costs and machining are brutal.

Thats awesome you have two local places with the equipment to pour stainless. Most of what we do is AL, bronze, iron, etc and it's a lot easier to work with.
