And can go 1,200 frames per second in movie mode:

I'm trying to find some "real world" reviews of it. I've been looking for something that would take "fast" images for a long time. I ended up with a Canon S2 IS but it can't hang with drag race launches. 4 frames per second is 0.25 seconds apart. Can't get the launch predictably.
The EX-F1 also "buffers" the shots. You hold down the button half way, and it starts recording high-res images in a buffer. When you push the shutter all the way, it will capture both BEFORE and after you snap the shutter. So if your react is a bit slow, it will get it anyhow.
Pretty pricey though at $1000. But it is the fastest digital camera in the world by a huge margin. Cameras selling for $8000 cannot match it's speed.
