I am starting to buy bits for new engine. I have had Carrillo rods in gas engines before and had my mind set on using them - Never used Crower but I see a few including Pat using them - any thoughts on Carrillo or Crower?

I dont know if you've seen this thread on the place but it has some good info.

I just went with Crower--One, because Guy had them ready to go and I needed them sooner than later, Two, last I checked Carrillo's werent ready yet and even if they were I would be leary to be one of the first ones to try them out---even though I'm sure they are just fine.

Yes I saw the thread, It turned into another big ball of diesel place S...

That one, no it all guy has his opinions. Too bad, he's a "so stuck on himself" poster.

No one knows what rods will live at this point. I'm goning with Crower's. If they break or bend, I will let everyone know.

I know it sort of turned into a pissing match, but there was some good info comparing the "H" beam rods and the "I" beam rods. I wish there was more discuession/opinions between the two designs but it got out of hand......

I belief that Carrillo are used in the Bank's truck. I don't know if they available yet or not?? So far choices are crower, carrillo, R&R, and cunningham...
Should be interesting to see if any fail I sure hope not for what they cost..
